Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette

Hey, everyone! Happy Friday! Today I am going to be reviewing the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette! The Sweet Peach palette is a limited edition palette that was released in March 2016. This palette has been very hyped up before the release date and due to the hype it was always sold out. I know the owner of Too Faced said he is going to try to make it available to everyone who wants one. Are they even selling the palettes anymore?

Anyway, back in April, I was entering many Instagram contests to try and win a Sweet Peach palette, but I had no such luck. I then called my local Sephora and Ulta to see if they had any palettes available, but they were also sold out. After that, I felt very hopeless. Well, I was on YouTube watching reviews on the palette and someone mentioned HSN. I totally forgot that HSN sells Too Faced and the last time I checked the palette was sold out. Well, I went onto HSN and checked their website. Once I was on their website, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me because the palette was in stock! They had just restocked a few minutes before I went onto their site and this was before everyone started Tweeting and Instagramming that it was in stock on HSN. I quickly then ordered one and had to wait a week for it to arrive at my house.

Waiting a week for this palette was torture, and I felt like I was a little child on Christmas Day when my palette came in the mail. When I know I am getting makeup in the mail, I usually will not do my makeup until I get my mail. Anyway, I quickly tore through the box and could instantly smell a sweet scent of peaches. The palette really does smell delicious, and it does taste sweet too. Okay, I did not dip my finger into the palette to taste the eyeshadows, but one day I was using my palette and some of the powder got into the air while my mouth was opened and I got a taste of the palette.

This palette is a little different than most Too Faced palettes. With the Chocolate Bar palette series, they have 14 average sized eyeshadows and two big eyeshadows in them. With the Sweet Peach palette, it has 18 average sized eyeshadows and no big eyeshadow pans.

The palette ranges from neutrals, pinks, peaches, purples, green, and blacks. I know not everyone was thrilled when they found out the color scheme since most people expected it would have a lot more peachy colors in it. I personally like the color scheme and feel I will use more of the colors than if it was just all peachy. I do however believe they could have made this a 9 or 12 eyeshadow palette, but I am still pleased on how they did this palette.

Out of all the Too Faced palettes I own, I love this palette the most. I have to cycle through my palettes every day so I do not use this palette up because I would use it every single day. By the way, I have enough palettes to use one every day.

From left to right the colors are White Peach, Luscious, Just Peachy, Bless Her Heart, Tempting, Charmed I'm Sure, Nectar, Cobbler, Candied Peach, Bellini, Peach Pit, Delectable, Peaches 'N Cream, Georgia, Carmalized, Puree, Summer Yum, and Talk Derby To Me.

Aren't the names cute? My favorite colors out of this palette are white peach, luscious, just peachy, bless her heart, charmed I'm sure, nectar, cobbler, candied peach, bellini, peaches 'n cream, Georgia, caramelized, puree, and summer yum. Can you tell I love this palette? However, the colors I tend to gravitate to most of the time are peaches 'n cream, white peach, luscious, nectar, candied peach, Georgia, puree, and summer yum.

Here are three looks I made with this palette:

What do you all like this palette or don't like this palette? If this palette was to be available again would you get it?

Hask Charcoal Purifying Hair Collection

Hey everyone! I was sent the Hask Charcoal Purifying Hair Collection through BrandBacker for an honest opinion. The set includes shampoo, conditioner, and a hair mask. In addition, they set does not contain any sulfates, parabens, or gluten! You are not going to believe the price. You can get each piece at Ulta.com for $5.99!

The set has a nice citrus smell and the thickness is not thin, but not overly thick. The shampoo does foam which is nice because I feel when brands do not have sulfates or parabens in it then it doesn't foam or have suds while you are washing your hair so you need more product.

My hair has a bunch of knots in it when I wash it, and this conditioner makes my hair very smooth and soft which makes detangling my hair a lot easier.

I have been wanting to get a new hair mask for a while and I really love Macadamia's masque and the Briogeo Don't Despair Hair mask, but they are so expensive! This mask you leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse out. It does feel heavy on your hair, but after it washes out of your hair it makes your hair so soft, smooth, and shiny. It is amazing and I am probably going to order some off of Ulta once I run out of my other hair masks.

I really recommend these products because they are affordable and do not have bad chemicals and ingredients in them. Plus, they are celiac safe.

May 2016 Battle of the Boxes: Birchbox vs Play! by Sephora

Hey, everyone! I decided I wanted to combine and battle my May Birchbox to my Sephora Play box. Both boxes are $10 a month and contain 5 deluxe beauty items. Sephora Play does give a bonus sample as well and that is perfume, however, they do not curate your box based on a profile like Birchbox does. This is my first month doing Sephora Play and I have been on the waitlist forever and last month I got an e-mail telling me I was off the waitlist and I can join. Also, this is my ninth Birchbox.

Let's start with Birchbox first! This month I got seven items because one of the items came with two bonus items.

-Davines Oi Conditioner Packet: This conditioner has a light clean scent and a little product goes a long way. It is also a light conditioner.

-Davines Oi Shampoo Packet: I feel with this shampoo it takes a lot of product to wash all my hair and I have a lot of hair that is thick and I found this product to be not foamy or have suds in it.

-Davines Oi All in One Milk: I have been dying to try this leave in conditioner since I have seen reviews on it in past Birchbox YouTube review videos. This leave in conditioner has a clean scent just like the shampoo and conditioner. This product helps with detangling, frizz control, heat protection, and makes your hair shiny. I have found that this product does all of these and I really love it.

-Coola Mineral SPF 30 Day Dream Makeup Primer: This product has SPF 30 in it which is good, but I barely got any product in this tube. It has a nice consistency and feels soft as you apply it to your face.

-MDSolar Sciences Mineral Moisture Defense Body Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen:This has SPF of 50 which is really great. My face was super dry when I got my box and this product clung to my dry spots and didn't seem like it was really sinking in.

-Model Co. Lip Lacquer In Viva: This gloss is a gorgeous light pink with a bit of a citrus scent, but it is super sticky.

-Real Chemistry 3 Minute Body Peel: I have Keratosis (KP) which is small red bumps on the skin and they are on my arms, and this did an okay job on my arms. You are not supposed to use this product on the face, but I got very desperate because one of my cleansers dried out my face to where it was really flakey and it took all the dry skin off, so that was nice.

With Sephora Play I got (and anyone who got this box got) eight items:

-Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Kimchi: I have heard great things about Bite Beauty. This has a citrus scent to it and is described as a shocking pink that reminds me of Barbie's. The lipstick does have some blue undertones to it. I am not afraid of bright colors and I think this color looks great on my fair skin. I love the formula of the lipstick. The color last for a long time and is very comfortable to wear since it is hydrating.

-Origins Maskmizer: I can't really tell if this works for my skin and I feel like it is okay. This product is an interesting concept because is a mask primer that you spray and rub into your face before applying a mask.

-Origins Charcoal Mask: This was a one-time use packet for me and it helps with imperfections and pores. I liked the feel of the mask on my face and noticed my complexion looked brighter after using the mask.

-Origins Drink Up Intensive Sleeping Mask: This is one of my holy grails out of this whole box. Oh my gosh it smells super good and it left my skin very, very soft. I used the other Origins mask before I put this one on and I actually slept with this mask on. I could not stop touching my face after I washed the product off. So smooth. I have some Birchbox points so I will be buying a 3.4 oz with them and I think it will last a while since you are only supposed to use a small amount 2-3 times a week and it is $24 on Birchbox and I think $26 on Sephora. So far I have gotten 3 uses out of this packet and probably can get one or two uses out of it before my full size comes. Also, this product has a citrus scent to it.

-Korres Wild Rose+Vitamin C Sleeping Mask: This product smells like roses/floral and it is a really light scent. It is a pretty thick cream and does hydrate my face, but it does not hydrate my face like the Origins Drink Up Intesive Sleep Mask does.

-Atelier Cologne: This an orange scent and it smells so good. It is a musky sweet smell that smells like orange.

-Briogeo Don't Despair Hair Mask: I actually got this in my April Birchbox and loved it. I was actually happy to get another sample. It has a nice smell to it and I can't describe it, but it smells nice. I actually go a little extreme when using this product and put this product in my hair then put my hair up into a bun, then put a bag over my hair and take my hair dryer to it for 20 minutes and after that I rinse my hair out. It leaves my hair very soft and makes my hair look healthy.

-Tarte Lip Pencil in Latergram: I like the color because it is a nice nude/mauve color and think it will look good with the Tarte Lip Paints in Namaste and TBT, but the tip keeps breaking off because the lip liner is very dry.

This month both of my boxes were really good. It does feel like it is a draw with both boxes, but I am going to choose Sephora as the winner of this month because with Birchbox I didn't like two products.

Have any of you seen the spoilers for the June Sephora Play Box? If so what do you think?

If you have Birchbox what did you choose for sample choice? I am an ACE and got to choose yesterday and I chose the featured box since I have enough brow products to last me for a while, plus  I really wanted another PBJ Smoothie Stick since they are so nice and I already have the other color.

Tarte Amazonian 12 Hour Clay Foundation

Hey everyone, sorry for me being MIA lately. I have been very busy with school and am trying to figure out what days I will be blogging.

Today's blog is on the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation. It is a 1.7 ounce squeeze bottle that retails for $39, and you can buy at Sephora, Ulta, or Tarte's website.

I really like the fact that this bottle is 1.7 ounces for $39 compared to the 1 ounce foundations that retail for the same price. Anyway, I was on the market for new foundation that matched my skintone, my undertones, and was gluten free. Well, I stumbled upon this foundation and the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and decided on the Tarte foundation.

I ended up buying the color Ivory which is for fair skin with pink undertones and it matches me very well and I have not had a foundation that matches me this well.

The foundation does not have a smell. It is a thick consistency and is mousse like, which you only need a little to get a medium to full coverage. I use a real techniques brush expert brush to buff in the foundation and it works very well. I found using a real techniques sponge or Beauty Blender would take some of my makeup off my face and soak it up into the sponge.

I have had this foundation for two months now and I am almost out so I just ordered a new bottle a few days ago for when I run out.

What is your favorite low end or high end foundation? Have you tried this foundation? If so what do you think? I will try to get two blogs out sometime next week and really think of days they will come out. I am planning on blogging on the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette soon too. Do not forget to follow me on Twitter @allthingskayla1 and on Instagram @allthingskayla.

Tarte Amazonian Waterproof 12 Hour Concealer

Hey everyone welcome back to my blog! So today I am reviewing the Tarte Amazonian Waterproof 12 Hour Concealer in the color Fair which is sold on Tarte, Ulta, and Sephora. It also sells for $23.

Anyway, good news! I am getting the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette tomorrow AND I just got an invite to Sephora Play which I just signed up for and hoping I like it and will be able to use most products since I can't have gluten in my products. I like the fact that you can get a free perfume sample with each box and you get 10 points each month into your Beauty Insider bank. I have been obsessed with perfume samples and I made two more Sephora purchases since they refund me for one of my products that chipped badly so I ordered a new Tarte limited edition box and I chose 2 perfume samples. With my other order I just made yesterday I ordered another Tarte concealer, but I went with a different one for some reasons and I chose two more perfumes plus used a code to get 9 perfume samples. I love the two I got with my previous order and I want to review them. I also got my Birchbox today and won't be reviewing it until later due to one of my products being broken and Birchbox will be sending me a replacement.

Anyway, onto the review. This concealer is in the color fair like I said and that is for people who have fair skin with pink undertones and this concealer works beautifully on me. It is pretty thick, but I like it because I have veins that can be seen under my eyes that I love to conceal and usually I use concealer to clean up under my eyes due to eyeshadow fallout.

The reason I did not re-purchase this because it only lasts me for 2-3 months and I wanted a concealer that can last me longer so I am going to try another Tarte concealer and see how that goes.

I do recommend this concealer since it does last a while on the face and there really is no noticeable creasing.

What is your favorite concealer? I will be posting a picture and possibly some swatches of the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette tomorrow on Instagram and Twitter so follow me. @allthingskayla on Instagram and on Twitter @allthingskayla1. Talk to you all next Tuesday!

My Sephora Haul

Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today I am doing something different and going to talk about my Sephora haul. Everyone is doing hauls do to the VIB Rouge, VIB, and BI sale. I however did not use my beauty insider 10% of coupon and bought my items a few days before the sale happened, but I did get my haul today since I got some items that made it take seven days to get to me.

The items are ordered are: Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara, Tarte Glam Goodies Set, and the Formula X 5 Piece Customizable Set. For my samples I got the Dolce and Gabbana Dolce Perfume, Tom Ford Noir Pour Femme, and the Bare Minerals Hydrating Gel Cream. I also used a promo code to get a deluxe sample of the Dr. Brandt Needles No More 3D Filler Mask.

With all the items I received I will be doing a review on each item.

I have heard really bad reviews on the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara and I am a little nervous about it, but so far it is working for me and I will be doing a review on in a few weeks and then a battle of the original and the waterproof mascara. But, I will say this, I really love the packaging because I love any shade of blue and the water droplets on the tube look awesome and are 3D which is very cool.

With the Tarte Glam Goodies Set it was $25 set and I was first planning on getting the Tarteist Lip Paint in TBT because I love my deluxe sample of the color Namaste and for a full size is $20. I then saw this and thought for $5 more I can get a deluxe sample of the Tarteist Lip Paint in TBT, a deluxe sample of the Tarteist Lash Paint which is Tarte's new mascara, and then the Tartelette Tease Palette. When I was doing my makeup one of the shadows in the palette chipped big time for no reason and I didn't drop the palette and I am very careful with applying my eyeshadows, so that was weird.

When I was placing my order I was trying to get enough in my cart to get free shipping and I saw Tarte had a limited edition set for $10 that was their new skincare line and they were deluxe samples, but they went out of stock before I could check out. Instead I found the Formula X 5 Piece Customizable Set. I got to pick 4 full size shades and then got a free nail effect top coat. I really like the colors I picked. The colors I picked are: Fearless which is a greyish green, Dusk which is a reddish pearl, State of the Art which is a turquoise, and Fathom which is a slate blue. I just painted my nails with one of the colors and the top coat and so far I like it, but I will do a review to say how I like the formula and how it all holds up.

The perfumes smell pretty good and I can't wait to try the Dr. Brandt filler mask.

Did any of you get anything from the Sephora sale if so what did you get? Have any of you tried the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara, if so how did you like it? I will be doing a review this Friday so stayed tuned and follow me on Instagram @allthingskayla and on Twitter @allthingskayla1.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! I am so sorry that this post is a day late. Yesterday I was calling my local Ulta and Sephora to see if the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette was in stock and it wasn't. I know I told one of you I was not going to purchase the Sweet Peach palette, but I decided to because it so, so gorgeous and I have been trying to enter giveaways with no such luck. After calling around I was watching a review and the person mentioned HSN and I decided to check their page since I haven't for a while and lo and behold they restocked! I got one before it was tweeted out and instagramed by many people. Well after I purchased I got on a live chat with HSN to ask them if a four day hold on my bank account was normal and then the representative told me they would be sending a fax to my bank because it is being cancelled! I was devastated, but after talking to verifications and to a few other customer service representatives we got it worked out and it was a huge misunderstanding. Last month I made another account to try and get the $20 off the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette and verifications cancelled that and the first representative was looking at that and not my Sweet Peach Palette. So hopefully it does come and I will tweet and instagram once I get it. So that is why I didn't blog yesterday and that is one hard palette to get a hold of.

Anyway, onto my review. Remember when I did my review on the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette and I said I liked it, but I needed another palette? Well after I got my Bon Bons palette, I decided I wanted this palette. With this review I will not be mentioning or comparing the Chocolate Bon Bons or the Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette to this palette. I do plan on do a battle of the palettes down the road to compare them and what not.

I have to say I am very impressed with Too Faced eyeshadows because they are buttery, blend very well, have great wear time, and are really pigmented. When I use to buy drugstore eyeshadows I would usually have my eyeshadow come off before I got home from school or only last for a few hours. These shadows on the other hand can last a while and do well with or without an eye primer. I took this palette on my trip with me and last Saturday when we were traveling home I had my eyeshadow on for 16 hours and it looked like I had just applied my eyeshadow and all my other makeup lasted the same amount which to me is shocking.

This was the only palette I took for my trip and I did miss my other palettes, but I really am happy I chose this palette to come with me and play with it while on my trip.

I thought I would hate the burgundy shades, but I ended up liking them and think that they wear well with whatever you are wearing. Some colors in this palette are fall/winter colors, but I do still like to use them. It is a very versatile palette and you can make many gorgeous looks. I also thought I would hate the forest olive green in the palette known as gilded ganache, but ended up loving it. I tried all 16 of the eyeshadows and I love 14 of the shadows out of it. This a very good palette and I am in love with it.

This is my favorite eyeshadow palette as of now and that could change after I get the Sweet Peach Palette, but we will see. I am currently trying two other palettes and will be trying out another two later this week or next week.

Here are the swatches in my bathroom and then in natural light:

Colors from left to right are:

  • Gilded Ganche-A forrest olive with gold sparkle
  • White Chocolate-A white/cream matte
  • Milk Chocolate-A matte light brown
  • Forest Truffle-A deep purple with sparkle/shimmer
  • Triple Fudge-A dark cool tone brown
  • Salted Carmel-A matte tanish color (it is hard to describe it, how would you all describe it. I think it is somewhat peachy on my skin tone)
  • Marzipan-A metallic/shimmery pink/champagne color
  • Semi Sweet-A medium rich brown matte
  • Strawberry Bon Bon-A whiteish pink matte
  •  Candied Violet-A shimmery purple
  • Amaretto-A burgundy brown satin
  • Hazelnut-A light brown with some gold hues satin
  • Creme Brule-A gold satin
  • Haute Chocolate-A bit darker than Hazelnut, but is a light/medium brown satin
  • Cherry Coridal-A wine/burgandy matte with some sparkles
  • Champagne Truffle-A shimmery white
My favorites are: white chocolate, milk chocolate, gilded ganache, triple fudge, semi sweet, marzipan, amaretto (my absolute favorite!), hazelnut, haute chocolate, and creme brule. I use champagne truffle as a highlight on my face.

By the way this palette smells so good and smells like chocolate!

Here are some looks I made and sorry for how bad I look in some of the pictures:

What colors do you all like? What is your favorite Too Faced palette and if you have this palette do you like it? Stay tuned for updates from me by following me on Twitter @allthingskayla1 and on Instagram @allthingskayla. I will be posting my Sephora haul when it gets here later this week and when I get the Sweet Peach Palette from HSN!

Studio Gear Whipped Lip Stain Gloss

Hey everyone, sorry I have not blogged for a long time. I was traveling for the past week, but now I am home and able to blog. While I was on vacation I got to really try out my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and I will be reviewing that this Friday and now I just need to finish trying out the Too Faced Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar and the Tartelette in Bloom. I just made an order with Sephora last night and I have some new items that I will be reviewing once they arrive next week. Anyway, how has everybody been?

Today I am reviewing Studio Gear Whipped Lip Stain Glosses. Studio Gear sent me five of their whipped glosses to try and review for all of you.

The colors I received are: true marble which is a nude, true red, true fuchsia, true burgundy, and true wine. They retail for $17.50 on the website and you can buy these in a mini version for $5 each.

They are very pigmented and only need one swipe to cover your lips. They leave a nice stain after the gloss starts to fade and the stain last the whole day. Each gloss stain is true to the color in the tube so it does not change to a different color once on your lips.

They say they are supposed to be hydrating, but I noticed once they started to fade down to a stain, my lips would start to feel dry and I had to put some chapstick on. I recommend putting chapstick on and then applying the gloss.

The glosses don't have a smell to them which is nice because I cannot stand when lip products have a terrible scent to them. They are also gluten free.

I only tried true pebble and true fuschia only because I love wearing nude lip colors lately and I do like a good fuschia/pink and I felt like they were more springy compared to other three that are more fall like colors. I really like these whipped lip gloss stains and I know they are going to last a while since you only need one swipe.

You can buy the lipgloss stains from http://studio-gear-cosmetics.myshopify.com/ and you get 10% off an order with the code SGKayla.

Talk to you all Friday! I cannot wait to share my review on the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette.

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

Hey everyone! So I have been eyeing the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette for a while because honestly how cute is the packaging? I got mine off of HSN.com for $29 with a $20 off coupon for new customers.

I got this palette on March 5th and I usually like to make 8 looks from it before reviewing it, but I kept putting this review on the back burner and kept telling myself I will review it next month, but in all seriousness it needed to be done this month.

First let's talk about packaging. It is pink with hearts on the front of it instead of it looking like a chocolate bar. It is super girly and eye catching. I like it is tin because it is sturdy and easy to clean off. It has a magnet closure to keep it shut and mine seems a bit weak compared to the other chocolate bar palettes. I personally would not travel with this palette, well with mine at least since it opens really easy when I did the test where I turn it upside down to see it opens and then shake it. Keeping up with the heart designs on the outside of the palette, you will see that the 14 small shadows are heart shaped and then you have two big highlight pans. You do get the same amount of product in this palette compared to the original chocolate bar and the semi-sweet palette. The names are written by the shadows to tell you their names which is very convenient. The palette has a mirror on it which is really nice because I like to get a closer look to my eye when I am doing my eye look, mascara, and eyebrows. My mirror almost lays completely down. Most importantly it smells like chocolate and is infused with cocoa powder.

I was super excited to get this palette in the mail and was constantly watching the tracking. Well when I saw the palette was delivered I quickly got dressed and went outside to go to my mailbox to get it and then I brought in and quickly opened the packaging. I open the palette and thought it was very pretty and I then took a picture of it before I swatched it. When I was swatching it I thought the colors were very pretty, however I went to make an eye look and was really looking at the palette, I was feeling like something was missing and that it would be hard to make many different eye looks from this palette.

Due to me feeling like something was missing I decided I wanted to get the original chocolate bar to help this palette out to make more looks. As I was thinking about to get the original palette, I was looking pictures of the semi-sweet palette and decided that palette was calling my name. My husband ended up buying me the original palette from HSN with the $20 off coupon and I bought the semi-sweet palette off Too Faced's website with a 20% off coupon. I will be reviewing those palettes sometime in April and May, but I am aiming to get both reviewed in April and then I want to do a battle of the chocolate bar palettes (ie. original vs. semi-sweet, original vs. bon bons, semi-sweet vs. bon bons, and all of them compared together).

I am trying so hard as I am writing this review to not compare this palette to the original and the semi-sweet, so after this point I will not mention the original or semi-sweet and focus 100% on the Bon Bons palette.

I noticed the colors I tend to gravitate to in this palette is: almond truffle, cashew chew, pecan praline, satin sheets, divinity, mocha, molasses chip, cafe au lait, and bordeaux. I am not too crazy about malted or dark truffle. Those two colors are great for the outer v and darking up the crease, but I feel like most of these colors in the palette are very, very light and malted and dark truffle are super dark. Then there are a lot of pops of color and you have: sprinkles, totally fetch, cotton candy, black currant, and earl grey. I feel like earl grey has the most fall out compared to the other shadows and black currant kind of struggles when you put it on. By the way I tried all the shadows in the palette and there were some nights I just played around with this palette and added some other palettes to make different looks, but I didn't take pictures of them. I also have used all the pinks in this palette and I love them and I don't think totally fetch is scary looking, but I only use it as a crease shade.

With the many pops of color I find it hard to incorporate them into an everyday look and I usually do not use colored eyeshadows unless I am wearing the color of that eyeshadow, white, black, or grey shirts. On most days I use neutral colors.

The colors in the palette and their descriptions are:

  • Almond Truffle: is a little matte mauve.
  • Satin Sheets: is a champagne with pinkish hues (it has shimmer in it) and could be used as a highlight on the face.
  • Sprinkles: is a light baby rose/pink.
  • Molasses Chip: is a metallic bronzy gold.
  • Malted: is a dark chocolate brown.
  • Cashew Chew: is a nude.
  • Cotton Candy: is a metallic bubblegum pink.
  • Cafe Au Lait: is a metallic silver/grey.
  • Bordeaux: is a burgundy brown.
  • Mocha: is a milk brown/medium brown.
  • Black Currant: is a deep purple with shimmer.
  • Dark Truffle: is a dark brown with golden shimmer.
  • Pecan Praline: is a greyish taupe.
  • Totally Fetch: is a hot pink.
  • Early Grey: Is a greyish teal with shimmer.
  • Divinity: is a matte white.
All these shadows are super buttery and blend very well. My favorite eyeshadow out of this whole palette is molasses chip.

Here are some looks I created with this palette:

Anyway, I do love this palette, but at the same time I don't because I feel like a lot of the looks look the same.

What are your thoughts on this palette and what is your favorite chocolate bar palette?

March 2016 Birchbox

Hey everyone! I received my Birchbox on Tuesday and this month I received six samples which is nice.

For those who do not know what Birchbox is, it is a beauty service that costs $10 a month and you get five to six beauty products a month. The beauty products can be makeup, skincare, hair products, body, nail polish, makeup tools, and sometimes lifestyle items. You can sign up here if you are interested: https://www.birchbox.com/invite/allthingskayla

Anyway, back to the review. I chose the Number 4 shampoo and conditioner as my sample choice this month since I have tried their hair elixr and loved it. Also, it is gluten free which is a plus for me. Parlor is gluten free too so I could have chosen either one.

I have only tried the shampoo and conditioner once and will be using the shampoo tonight with a hair masque since I use my Macademia hair masque once a week. I usually wash my hair two to three times a week and use dry shampoo on days that my hair feels oily. My hair is on the drier side. The formula for the shampoo and conditioner are light weight and is not super sudsy. It has a musky scent and I like it because sometimes I can't stand when shampoo and conditioner are super floral smelling. Would I be buying the shampoo or conditioner in the future? I do like it, but I don't think I would purchase it since it is pretty pricey and I do love my Dove shampoo and conditioner.

I got three makeup items this much. I got the Cargo duo eyeshadow in a dark taupe and gold color. I have not tried the Cargo yet and probably won't use it since I have these colors in my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes. I have heard though that the Cargo eyeshadows are pigmented and creamy. I may use it one day or I may do something else with it. I will not be purchasing the palette since I already have enough neutral palettes and enough palettes I love right now, i.e. the Too Faced Chocolate Bar series, Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly, and the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette.

I also received the Balm Stainiac. I haven't tried this either because I really hate lip/cheek stains because I feel like when I use them on my lips they go into creases and look bad and are too red for my lips and I just hate having to blend the stains out really quickly. Plus, I do not like any of the Balm makeup products. I will not be buying a full size.

My last makeup item was Dr. Lipp's Miracle Balm. This product was so hard to get out of the container. I did get some product out of the tube and it is very thick and reminds me of Vaseline and the product only has a few uses out of it. I am not really fond of it because I feel like I could go just put Vaseline on my lips. I will not be buying a full size.

The last product I received was the Khiels Eye Serum. I love eye serums since they are moisturizing for my under eye area and help with puffiness and dark circles. Some also are great for anti-aging and this one is good for puffiness and anti-aging. Since I am only twenty I do not have wrinkles under my eyes so I can't tell if it works for anti-aging, but I do find that it is great to start using anti-aging products. I don't really get puffy eyes either so I can't say it works for that either. I haven't noticed a big difference under my eyes. Will I purchase a full size? No I won't since I do love my Oz Naturals eye serum, but I do feel like this small sample will last for a while.

As you can tell I really did not like this months box and I usually love everything in my boxes. I'm hoping for a better month next month. I am on the fence about what to choose next month. I am either choosing the Hair Mask or choosing the curated box for that Laura Geller blush. Decisions, decisions.
